Samana, Dominican Republic - May 2008

I took this picture this past May (2008) while Rusty, Amanda, Chrissy and I cruised the Caribean. Our third stop was to the island of Samana in the Dominican Republic. This island didnt have a port for our ship to dock, so we were shipped to the island in Tenders ( lifeboats ). That was a unique expierence, I've never been in a tender. The island itself was very sad and depressing. Such a poor community. The beaches on the other hand were beautiful..I could have just stayed on the beach forever ( minus the kids begging for money!! )

Snow Storm 2/22/2008

Here are just a few pictures of the last snow storm we just had. This was the day after actually =). The top picture was taken down by the river in Cornwall on Hudson and the bottom one was taken on a back road off of Oars Mill. It looked like a winter wonderland...so beautiful.

I love this butterfly picture. It took me a long time waiting for one to land on the lilac tree for this shot. It was worth every min :). The sunset picture was taken on my trip to Austin, Tx. last June. I love sunset shots.

This is my dog Brandy. Shes a Chocolate lab who loves the water. This pictures was taken at my summer house in upstate Ny, she wanted so bad to play in the river and when she got tired, this was the only place she found to sit down. This is one of my all time favorite pictures I've taken over the years. Reminds me of something out of LLBean :).

I took these pictures last fall in upstate Ny. Both were taken near the town I live in. The picture on the bottom left is a famous train tressels in Orange County Ny. Its a beautiful site to see and in the fall even more beautiful. I've even hike to the top of them, just amazing. The picture on the top right is a local park near me. It was a perfect weekend for taking pictures as you can see. I couldnt have asked for a more blue sky and I believe I hit the height of the fall follage when I got this shot.

I took this pictures from the 5th floor of Nyack Hospital. I'd noticed the view when my Mom had to stay in the hospital for a bit.
